Dr. Pawan Singh, CEO and Chief Science Officer
Dr. Pawan Singh is co-founder, CEO and Chief Science Officer of PeriscopeIQ. During his 25-year career at a number of leading U.S. companies, Dr. Singh has transformed lagging businesses into industry leaders through business and technical innovation.
Prior to founding Quantum Performance Solutions, PeriscopeIQ's parent company, Dr. Singh was head of Ingersoll-Rand Waterjet with operations in North America, Europe and Asia, and a sales presence in over 40 countries. He transformed that business unit by launching more new products in a three year period than the unit had introduced in the previous 20 years.
His innovations, in use worldwide, span a wide range of fields from software to technology to finance to new mathematical algorithms. While at Wharton, he pioneered a new software genre, knowledge-embedded solutions. Knowledge-embedded solutions combine advanced algorithms, and business and scientific rules with point-and-click Windows-type interfaces and wizard-type logic to allow nearly every person in a company access to the combined knowledge base of the best minds inside and outside of the company. Knowledge-embedded technology lies at the heart of PeriscopeIQ's business intelligence platform.
Dr. Singh holds a Ph.D. and an M. S. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Rochester, an MBA from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania and earned a B. S. in Mechanical Engineering in India. He has received many honors and awards including the Distinction Award from Wharton, four gold medals for academic excellence, and several scholarships and fellowships. Dr. Singh has published or presented nearly 100 papers, most in peer-reviewed journals or proceedings, taught management and technical courses, chaired symposia and delivered invited lectures internationally.
Dr. Mohamed Latib, Executive Vice-President of Business Development
Dr. Mohamed Latib Executive Vice-President of Business Development at PeriscopeIQ. He leads the company's Organizational Development (OD) and Employee Performance Management practice. Dr. Latib is also Dean of Gwynedd-Mercy College's School of Business and Center for Lifelong Learning. Previously, he was Vice-President for Program and Strategic Development at DeSales University where he headed the MBA Program and lead the University's international initiatives that has resulted in the implementation of programs in Romania, Italy, Peru and India.
Dr. Latib was among the pioneers of the 360-degree performance system and he has served as a consultant to some of the country's leading business organizations, including Air Products, Pennsylvania Power and Light, Unisys, Siemens and Smithfield Beef. Dr. Latib has received over $4 million in grants to support businesses to develop employees and create employment in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Latib has conducted senior executive and middle management development programs in the U.S. and Canada. He is an active member of numerous professional organizations and serves on several boards. He holds an M.B.A. and a Ph.D. in business administration (organizational behavior and human resources) from The Fox School of Business and Management, Temple University.
Dr. James Murphy, Senior Consultant
Dr. Jim Murphy is a Senior Consultant at PeriscopeIQ, and heads all of the company's market research activities. He has over 30 years experience in marketing and opinion research He has held senior analyst and management positions specializing in quantitative and qualitative studies for commercial and non-profit organizations.
He began his research career at National Analysts, a division of Booz Allen and Hamilton in Philadelphia where he worked on some of the earliest commercial applications of conjoint measurement, multidimensional scaling, and cluster-based segmentation for leading national consumer and business products marketers. He also served as Vice President of Weightmann Advertising where he managed all of the company's research activities, and managed his own consulting organization.
Dr. Murphy has moderated focus groups in 36 of the 40 largest U.S. markets and in six foreign countries, and has fielded consumer and business surveys via telephone, mail, web and personal interviewing. He taught marketing research at the Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania for seven years and retains contact with academic leaders in the marketing community.
Jim holds M. A. and Ph.D. degrees in communications research from the University of Pennsylvania where his studies centered on survey and qualitative research methodology, communications theory and effectiveness assessment, and statistics. He is a member of the American Association for Public Opinion Research and the Population Research Bureau, and was elected to Sigma Xi - The Scientific Research Society of North America. He is a director of The Better Business Bureau of Metro Washington, DC, and Eastern Pennsylvania (a consolidated Bureau).
Dr. Ramesh K. Gupta; Senior Fellow
Dr. Ramesh K. Gupta is a PeriscopeIQ Senior Fellow focusing on strategy and technology planning. He has extensive experience in strategic planning and business development, technology R&D, new product development, and systems development and deployment.
His more than 25 years of experience has centered around high technology companies and specifically in the satellite and wireless communications industries. He has held senior management positions as Vice President of advanced business and technology at AMCOM Communications, Managing Director of Lockheed Martin Global Telecommunications, and at COMSAT Laboratories. His present interests include business planning, strategic management and research on technology and business issues related to emerging global telecommunications and information infrastructure.
He holds a Ph.D. and an MS degree in electrical engineering from the University of Alberta, Canada; an MBA degree from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B. Sc. degree (with Honors) in Electronics and Communications Engineering from India. He has published extensively, and holds four US patents. He has received many honors and awards including Alberta Government Telephone's Centennial Fellowship for graduate research in Telecommunications and COMSAT Laboratories' Research Award. He was co-recipient of the Best Paper Award at the 9th International Digital Satellites Communications Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark. In 2008, he was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and cited for 'unusual distinction in the profession' and his 'extraordinary record of accomplishments' .He has served as an adjunct Associate Professor of Strategic Management and Technology planning at the University of Maryland, College Park, MD.
Vinay Singh, Director of Business Development
Vinay Singh is a Director of Business Development at PeriscopeIQ, where he oversees all of the company's sales and marketing efforts. He has been involved with PeriscopeIQ in various roles over the past 4 years.
Prior to joining PeriscopeIQ, Vinay was a consultant for McKinsey & Company for 3 years in their New York and Sydney offices. At McKinsey, Vinay specialized in financial sector and media clients, serving several multinational companies as well as a select group of local medium-sized businesses in matters ranging from growth strategies, operations optimization, cost-cutting and restructuring.
Vinay holds B.S. degrees in Economics and Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude
Michael Meixler, Software Engineer
Michael Meixler is chief consulting software engineer at PeriscopeIQ. He was the architect and lead developer of the revolutionary PeriscopeIQ business intelligence platform. He has been at the forefront of technical advances in software development in a wide range of areas. Under his guidance, PeriscopeIQ was able to introduce a number of innovations in a record time. Mike has over 20 years' experience in software design, having developed dozens of multi-user software systems for a broad range of business applications.
He is a founder of a number of companies including Meixler Technologies, Inc., which has developed a number of custom software applications for many private, public and governmental organizations including the City of Philadelphia and Lucent Technologies. He also founded GreenFax and Web Site Traffic Report, two very successful and innovative web application service companies. Early in his career, he was an engineer at AT&T Bell Labs, where he designed and built automated testing systems for fiber optic components.
Michael holds a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. He has taught software engineering courses at Drexel University.
